Daryl Dagenais studied industrial relations, economics and sociology at McGill University and launched her career as a lumber trader in a cash commodity market. She later pursued a career as a human resources supervisor and employment equity coordinator for Canada at United Parcel Service. During a job interview at UPS, Daryl`s interviewer offered her a position as a truck driver on the understanding that all new employees must work on the trucks to gain insight into the company’s business model. Daryl accepted the job and spent 28 days as a truck driver before being promoted to a managerial post in the human resources division.
In 2009 Daryl completed her coaching certification at Concordia University and now works as a business, leadership and career coach for organizations and individuals.
She has been profiled and quoted extensively in the Montreal Gazette, the Financial Post and the Ottawa citizen. She was also a national columnist for two years on CBC radio.
Daryl is currently a member and volunteer for Kiwanis International. She lives in Laval, Quebec with her husband and son. Daryl is an avid lover of entrepreneurship, music, art, reading, and her dog and cats.
