Following graduation Dr. Jackson took a position at the British Columbia Cancer Agency as a research scientist, and consulting statistician. During his time at the BCCA, Dr. Jackson published work in surgical, medical, and radiation oncology. He was also awarded a Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation research fellowship to study theoretical issues pertaining to the measurement of quality of life in a clinical setting. During his 3 years at the BCCA, Dr. Jackson worked with interdisciplinary research teams supported by grants from the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Canadian Cancer society, and National Cancer Institute of Canada.
In 2000, Dr Jackson began work with a Canadian Human Resources consulting company to develop a web-based HR measurement tool. In his position as Vice President of Analysis and Research, he has led a team of developers and methodologists in the development of the firm’s web-based feedback, analysis, and reporting technology. Dr. Jackson continues to conduct research and publish the findings of his work. As of 2003, he has authored or co-authored a total of over 30 peer reviewed papers, posters, and book chapters on topics ranging from psychometric theory to the study of aggression and violence in criminal offenders.
Dr. Jeremy Jackson received his Masters and PhD from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia Canada. At the MA level, he specialized in population models of risk exposure, and at the PhD level, he specialized in psychometrics, measurement theory, philosophy of science, and non-metric multivariate data analysis. Throughout his graduate career, Dr. Jackson was supported by NSERC postgraduate scholarships. Prior to graduation, Dr. Jackson published his work on population models of risk exposure in the Journal of Applied Psychology, and reported his dissertation findings in a target article published in the Journal of Personality and Individual Differences.
In addition to his academic and business interests, Dr Jackson is a published landscape photographer.
