The seminar was an opportunity for CSCM members from the western regions to share, listen and learn what their colleagues had to say in the first of its kind national study on Human Resource Professional Development in the Canadian club industry.
Building on the energy and success of the Eastern Regional, participants were invited to make sure the western voice was heard and participate in this high energy session, they had an opportunity to have an “exponential number of conversations on what matters most to them - creating new ideas, refining proven techniques and sharing with their peers.
* Not familiar with edgecrafting?
- Edgecraft is a methodical, measurable process that allows individuals and teams to quickly identify the soft innovations that live on the edges of what already exists
- Edgecrafting involves choosing an extreme (i.e. - fastest, slowest, largest or smallest) and repositioning a product on the edge of that extreme.
Edgecrafting is unlike brainstorming:
- Brainstorming is a mystical event. It’s designed to quiet the mind and allow your innately great idea to surface.
- Brainstorming is about non-lateral thinking. About finding the odd connections, jumping from one reality to another.
- You have tried it, I’m sure. It does not work (at least at your organization… right?).
